Why Bass Rock

Our name comes from a volcanic island off the coast of Scotland — known for its permanence and quietly commanding presence. It reflects what we aim to build: an enduring collection of small, exceptional businesses designed to compound over decades.

Brittany Collins

Chief Executive Officer

Brittany Collins is the Founder and CEO of Bass Rock Capital. She is also a Managing Director at Compounding Labs, a private investment partnership focused on building enduring companies alongside quality operators.

Brittany previously served as CEO of PFC Management, where she led a portfolio of premier IVF centers and reproductive health businesses through operational improvement and strategic growth, culminating in a successful sale in 2023. She currently serves as Executive Chairman of PFC.

She serves on the Board of Trustees of the University of St Andrews and is a member of YPO.

Brittany holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a degree from the University of St Andrews.

Everett Metchick

Principal

Everett Metchick joined Bass Rock in 2026 and serves as Principal, where he is principally engaged in evaluating new investment opportunities and supporting strategic initiatives across the portfolio.

Prior to joining Bass Rock, Everett was an Analyst at Northwood Investors, focusing on investments across real estate and private markets. He began his career in the Investment Banking Division at Bank of America, where he advised corporate and sponsor clients on mergers, acquisitions, and capital markets transactions.

Earlier, he completed internships in investment banking at Bank of America and in merger arbitrage at AQR Capital Management.

Everett holds a B.S. in Economics with a concentration in Financial Markets from Colby College, graduating with Distinction.

Miles Collins

Partner

Miles Collins is a Co-Founder of Bass Rock Capital, focused on sourcing and evaluating new investment opportunities and supporting strategic initiatives across the portfolio.

Miles previously served as President of PFC Management, partnering on the build-out of a vertically integrated fertility platform across a portfolio of IVF centers and reproductive health companies, culminating in a successful sale in 2023.

Miles holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BSc with Honors in Neuroscience from the University of St Andrews, where his dissertation focused on the future commercialization of brain-machine interfaces.

Kent Weaver

Kent is the Co-founder of Compounding Labs, a permanent holding company backing entrepreneurs in recurring revenue, niche market businesses.

He is the Founder & CEO of Granite Point Partners and has personally invested in over 75 middle market companies.

For two decades, he has partnered with entrepreneurs to build durable businesses including Banyan Software, VRI, FieldEdge, Discover Outsourcing, Infrastructure Management Services, and Integra, among others.

He is the Chairman and CEO of a healthcare company he has operated for 15+ years.

Will Thorndike

Will is a Co-founder of Compounding Labs, a permanent holding company backing entrepreneurs in recurring revenue, niche market businesses.

He is the Managing Partner of The Cromwell Harbor Partnership and Founding Partner of Housatonic Partners.

He has over three decades of experience investing in recurring service businesses and has served as a Director for companies including Perimeter Solutions, Banyan Software, Carillon Assisted Living, Lincoln Peak Holdings, and ZircoDATA.

Will is the author of The Outsiders: Eight Unconventional CEOs and Their Radically Rational Blueprint for Success.

David Berkal

David Berkal is an entrepreneur passionate about building organizations, leading teams, and executing winning strategies. In 2016, he founded Banyan Software, a long-term acquirer of enterprise software companies.

Previously, David was CEO of Medicat, led Shift Technologies' U.S. expansion, and worked in private equity investing across healthcare, technology, and retail.

Beyond business, David co-founded Operation Groundswell and Indigenous Youth Roots. He holds an MBA from Stanford and a BA from the University of Toronto.
